UX Content Collective Membership Terms and Conditions

These Membership Terms and Conditions (“Terms”) apply to your purchase and use of a UX Content Collective (“UXCC”) Membership, including UXCC Member and UXCC Plus.
By purchasing a Membership, you agree to these Terms.
Membership
UXCC Membership provides access to the benefits included with your selected membership plan for one year.
Membership benefits may include:
- A monthly live Q&A with an industry leader
- Dash+, our weekly newsletter of analysis and interviews
- Access to the UXCC Classroom
- Three months of Ditto
- 20% off eligible UXCC courses and workshops
- Full membership to the System Design Lab with UXCC Plus
The benefits included with each plan are described on the UXCC Membership page at the time of purchase.
We may add, change, or discontinue individual benefits from time to time.
Membership Term and Renewal
Membership fees are paid upfront for a one-year membership term.
Your Membership is valid for one year from the date of purchase.
Memberships automatically renew annually unless you cancel before your renewal date.
At renewal, the applicable annual membership fee will be charged to your payment method on file.
If the membership price changes, we’ll provide notice before your next renewal.
Cancellation
You can cancel your Membership at any time.
If you cancel, your Membership will remain active until the end of your current one-year membership term. Cancelling your Membership stops future renewals but does not automatically result in a refund for the current membership term.
Refunds
Membership refund requests must be submitted within 14 days of purchase.
If a member uses their Membership discount to purchase a course, workshop, program, or other eligible product during this period, the value of the discount received will be deducted from the refund amount. If the discount value equals or exceeds the Membership fee, no refund will be issued.
Approved refunds will be issued to the original payment method used for purchase.
Membership Benefits
Membership benefits are available only while your Membership is active.
Some benefits may have additional eligibility requirements, availability limits, or separate terms.
Live sessions may be subject to scheduling, guest availability, and capacity. UXCC may change the date, time, guest, or format of a session when necessary.
We don’t guarantee that a particular guest, event, resource, third-party service, or other benefit will remain available for the entire membership term.
Membership Discounts
Members receive 20% off eligible UXCC courses and workshops while their Membership is active.
Membership discounts:
- apply only to eligible purchases;
- cannot be combined with other discounts or promotional offers unless explicitly stated;
- are not transferable; and
- have no cash value.
If a member uses their Membership discount within the 14-day refund period, the value of the discount received will be deducted from any approved refund, in accordance with the 14-Day Refund Policy.
UXCC reserves the right to change which products are eligible for the Membership discount.
Third-Party Benefits
Some Membership benefits are provided by third parties.
For example, UXCC Member includes three months of Ditto, and UXCC Plus includes access to the System Design Lab.
Third-party services may have their own terms, conditions, and eligibility requirements. UXCC isn’t responsible for changes to or interruptions of third-party services outside our control.
Access to promotional third-party benefits may end when the specified promotional period ends, even if your UXCC Membership remains active.
Intellectual Property and Member Content
All content and materials provided as part of the Membership, including courses, lessons, videos, recordings, newsletters, templates, frameworks, resources, presentations, and other materials (“Member Content”), are owned by UX Content Collective or its licensors and are protected by applicable intellectual property laws.
Your Membership gives you a limited, personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable right to access and use Member Content for your own personal and professional development during your active Membership.
You may not, without our prior written permission:
- copy, reproduce, or republish Member Content;
- share, distribute, or make Member Content available to anyone who is not entitled to access it;
- sell, license, sublicense, or commercially exploit Member Content;
- upload Member Content to another website, platform, database, or AI system;
- use Member Content to create or develop a competing product, course, service, or resource; or
- remove or alter any copyright, trademark, or other proprietary notices contained in Member Content.
Your Membership does not give you ownership of any Member Content or other UXCC intellectual property.
UXCC retains all rights, title, and interest in its intellectual property, including its trademarks, branding, course materials, frameworks, resources, and other proprietary content.
Member Contributions
If you post, submit, or share content in UXCC community spaces, forums, events, or other Member areas, you retain ownership of your original content.
By submitting content, you give UXCC a non-exclusive, worldwide, royalty-free license to host, display, reproduce, and use that content as reasonably necessary to operate and provide the Membership and its community features.
You are responsible for ensuring that anything you share does not infringe another person’s intellectual property, privacy, or other rights.
Account and Access
Your Membership is personal to you and is non-transferable. Memberships may not be shared, sold, assigned, gifted, or transferred to another individual, account, or organization.
You’re responsible for keeping your account login information secure and for all activity associated with your account.
If we reasonably believe that a Membership is being shared, transferred, resold, or otherwise used in violation of these Terms, we may suspend or terminate access without refund.
Membership benefits, including discounts, event access, community access, and member-only resources, are available only to the individual associated with the Membership account.
Community Conduct
If your Membership includes access to community spaces or member interactions, we expect you to participate respectfully.
You must not:
- harass, threaten, or abuse other members;
- share discriminatory or unlawful content;
- spam or solicit other members;
- share another person’s private information without permission; or
- disrupt the experience of other members.
We may suspend or terminate Membership access if you seriously or repeatedly violate these standards.
Suspension or Termination
We may suspend or terminate your Membership if you:
- violate these Terms;
- misuse Membership content or benefits;
- share or resell your Membership;
- engage in abusive or harmful conduct; or
- fail to pay applicable membership fees.
If we terminate your Membership because you have violated these Terms, you may lose access to Membership benefits immediately and may not be entitled to a refund, except where required by law.
Changes to the Membership
UXCC may update the Membership, including its benefits, content, events, pricing, or availability.
We don’t guarantee that any particular benefit, guest, event, resource, or third-party service will remain available for the entire duration of your Membership.
If we make a significant change that materially reduces the Membership, we’ll provide reasonable notice and, where required by law, any applicable remedy.
Payments
You are responsible for providing accurate and current payment information.
If a renewal payment fails, we may retry the payment or suspend Membership access until the outstanding payment is received.
Any applicable taxes, fees, or charges associated with your payment method or location are your responsibility unless otherwise stated.
Consumer Rights
Nothing in these Terms excludes, restricts, or modifies any rights or remedies that cannot legally be excluded, including rights under applicable consumer protection laws.
Changes to These Terms
We may update these Terms from time to time.
The updated Terms will be posted on the UXCC website with a new “Last updated” date. Where appropriate, we’ll notify members of material changes.
