AI in Content Design: Hands-On Building

Generative AI can do more than draft and edit. It can build things. Real things like tools, systems, and artifacts that solve problems in your content design work.

Many content designers haven’t tried this yet. We’d like to show you how.

What you’ll walk away with

  • A working tool built by you, during the session
  • A repeatable workflow for going from “I have a need” to “I built a thing that helps”
  • The ability to set up an AI environment that produces consistent, on-brand output instead of one-off chat responses
  • A framework for diagnosing when AI output fails, and whether to fix the context, the instruction, or the approach

Along the way, you’ll get hands-on with

  • Terminal commands, used to accomplish content design tasks
  • File formats like JSON and markdown, as part of building workflows
  • Code editors and deployment tools, and how they connect to the AI tools you already use
  • Context engineering: the practice of structuring what the model knows, not just what you ask it

Who this is for

Content designers who want to stop using AI as an assistant and start using it as a building material.

You don’t need to know how to code. You just need a problem worth solving and a willingness to try something new.
