Conversation Design for Chatbots

The Conversation Design for Chatbots final project is designed to test all the skills you practiced during the course.

You will be graded on:

• Your bot’s voice, personality, and branding
• The logic of your flows, including Hello, Main, Help, Catch-All, and Goodbye flows
• Use of secondary flows to help users complete tasks
• Clear and consistent scripts with helpful information

Here are some key points you should keep in mind:

Take your time: Remember to set context for your bot (establish the goal, audience, and personality) and create a flow map before you write the script and build the prototype.

Understand how to use Voiceflow: If you’re having trouble using Voiceflow, revisit lesson 5.2. We provide step-by-step instructions for setting up your project and building your bot.

Think about the user experience: Always push the user towards their goal, and make sure you don’t add any unnecessary barriers. Test your prototype and refine the dialogs as needed.

Remember your practice work: If you’re struggling with something, like a particular flow or deciding on key intents, remember your course material. Go back and reread lessons if you need to.
